Reuben Casserole

  Amount  Measure   Ingredient

     16     oz      sauerkraut, drained
    1/4     cup     onion, chopped
      1     tsp     caraway seed
      2     cup     shredded Swiss cheese
    2/3     cup     Thousand Island salad dressing
    1/2     lb      cooked corned beef, sliced thin
      2     cup     rye bread cut into 1/2 inch cubes
                    (about 3 slices of bread)
    1/4     cup     melted butter or margarine

Preheat oven to 375.

In a medium bowl, combine sauerkraut, onion, and caraway seed;
mix well.  Cover the bottom of an 8-in baking pan or dish with
the sauerkraut mixture.  Sprinkle in half of the cheese, spread
on half the dressing.  Cover with corned beef, top with remaining
cheese and the remaining dressing.

Toss bread cubes in melted butter and sprinkle over top of pan.
Bake at 375  for 35 minutes.

Serves 6.
