Dill Bread

  Amount Measure Ingredient
-------- ------- --------------------------------
       1 packet yeast
     1/4 cup warm water
       2 Tbl sugar
       1 Tbl instant minced onion
       1 Tbl butter
       1 tsp salt
       1 large egg, unbeaten
1 cup creamed cottage cheese (heated to lukewarm)
       1 tsp dill seed
       1 tsp dill weed
     1/4 tsp baking soda
2 1/4 cup all purpose flour (may need 2 1/2 cups)

Soften yeast in water.

Combine in mixing bowl the sugar, onion, butter, salt, egg,
cottage cheese, dill seed, dill weed, baking soda, and softened yeast.

Add flour a 1/4 cup at a time to form a stiff dough, beating well
after each addition. Cover and let rise in a warm place until light and
doubled in size, 50-60 minutes.

Stir down dough. Turn into well-greased 8-inch round (1 1/2 quart or 2 quart)
casserole. Let rise in warm place until light, 30-40 minutes. Bake at 350
for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Brush with butter.
