Bran Muffins


  Amount  Measure   Ingredient

      2     cup     Kellogg's All Bran
      1     cup     Kellogg's Bran Buds
      1     cup     boiling water

  1 1/2     cup     sugar
    1/2     cup     shortening
      2             eggs, beaten
  2 1/2     cup     flour
  2 1/2     tsp     baking soda
    1/2     tsp     salt
      2     cup     buttermilk

In a bowl, pour 1 cup boiling water over All Bran and Bran Buds;
let cool.

Mix sugar, shortening, eggs, flour, baking soda, salt, and buttermilk
together; then mix with bran mix.  Place mixture in baking cups in a
muffin pan and bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Muffins freeze well.

Makes 24 muffins.
